First Time Visitor

What to Expect

At SPBC Fort Worth, you will be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive. We hope this page will assist you as you visit SPBC Fort Worth for the first time. 

Arrival

Our parking lot has three driveways that connect with the street. The one that is the farthest south (closest to the insurance company) is the main entrance. If you are coming from the South, you will need to turn immediately after passing the insurance company driveway. If you are coming from the North, you will need to turn left from the center lane in the second drive after our building.

Parking

We have plenty of parking. There are several parking spaces in front marked Visitor but you are welcome to park anywhere!

Entering the Building

We recommend that you enter through our main entry when visiting for the first time. It is located near the handicap parking. One of our friendly greeters will be there to greet you by opening the door and handing you our church bulletin.

Bible Study

Our Bible Study classes begin at nine-thirty. We have classes available for all ages.  Our friendly greeter can direct you to our classroom locations.

Worship Service

Our Sunday morning worship service begins at ten-forty. A nursery and children’s church is available for the younger children during this time. The nursery is located past the Fellowship Hall and before the Gym. Our worship service meets in the auditorium; feel free to sit anywhere.

Children's Church

We understand that sometimes younger children are not ready for worship with the adults and that is ok. During the morning worship time, 10:40 a.m.-12:00 p.m Mrs. Rita Sleper and her Assistant, Brian Sprole, have Children's Church in the Family Life Center Foyer (located next to the Gym). Childrens' Church is designed for students ages 4-9. The schedule for Church is as follows: opening (visit & check-in), circle lesson. prayer time, playtime in the gym, snack, and craft time.

Leaving the Building

You may find that people are slow to leave after services. Many people stand around to visit one another and our pastor, David Pickard, stands at the door to shake everyone’s hand as they leave.

How We Dress

We have no dress code, but many of our people like to wear their best clothes on Sunday morning. That does not mean that you will not see jeans and t-shirts, on the contrary, we want you to be comfortable but we do ask that you dress modestly.
